Soil Association open farm and Higher Level Stewardship farm trail

For nearly twenty years Highfield Farm has been a certified organic farm , and since 1992 the farm has been part of the Countryside Stewardship scheme – which has enabled us to restore over 2 kms of traditional Devon hedgerows.

As of the first of November 2006 Highfield Farm has joined the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme which has replaced Countryside Stewardship.

This will enable us to continue protecting wildlife and their rare habitats here at Highfield Farm. Our farm trail is open to the public and has free car parking – or come to the farm from Topsham bus or train stops.

We are very easy to find!

Follow the waymarks and look out for wildlife !

The trail is about half a mile long and passes through traditional small grazing meadows alongside the River Clyst. Keep your eyes peeled for Kingfishers or signs of Otter activity!
